Claudia Brözel
PROFESSOR & FOUNDER
Prof. Dr Claudia Brözel combines over 30 years of experience in the tourism industry with strong academic expertise. As founding president of the VIR, she has actively contributed to shaping the sector’s digital transformation. Since 2012, she has been a professor at the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development, where she leads the Master's programme in Sustainable Tourism Management.
Her current research focuses on gender perspectives, particularly in transformation and impact research. Through transfer projects such as MoFet GenderPath and Lead 3, she explores how structural changes within the tourism industry can sustainably promote greater diversity and gender equality. This commitment is reflected in her supervision of numerous Master's theses on gender equality, as well as in practical collaborations and research into the potential reduction of structural barriers for women.
»People make travel possible, they are hosts and shape every experience – KITICON shares this conviction: that our industry can be a place where everyone finds their place. A place we shape together through words and actions – diverse, vibrant, and with a genuine joy in our work«
