Gold at the German Stevie Awards for “Best Overall Design”

Bonn-based marketing agency KITICON, together with the SCHÖNES LEBEN Group, has been recognized for the relaunch of schoenes-leben.org. The new corporate website received a Gold German Stevie Award 2025 in the special category “Best Overall Design.” The German Stevie Awards are among the most prestigious business awards, honoring outstanding achievements across more than 200 categories.

Submitted under the title “Premium Senior Living at a New Level – 100% Authentic,” schoenes-leben.org impressed the jury with its emotionally engaging design, clear information architecture, and cohesive user experience. The digital brand presence showcases the services, values, and culture of the SCHÖNES LEBEN Group across the entire user journey—from prospective residents and their families to job applicants.

The jury praised the website with statements such as “modern and appealing,” “authentic imagery that builds trust,” and “setting benchmarks for authenticity, clarity, and refined emotionality.”

Authentic insights and intuitive user guidance

Developed jointly by KITICON and the SCHÖNES LEBEN team in 2024, the website brings together all business areas within clearly structured thematic sections—including premium serviced living and care services—making it easier for users to navigate and make initial contact.

A key success factor was the authentic visual approach featuring real residents and employees, complemented by personal stories, interviews, and video content. In addition, the career portal and the online magazine “hier&jetzt” strengthen reach and employer branding through up-to-date insights, engaging content, and a streamlined application process.

“This award is a huge compliment—especially because it shows that strategic design and authentic content together can truly bring a brand to life,” says Tina Kirfel, Managing Director of KITICON. “With SCHÖNES LEBEN, we created a digital stage that not only looks premium but also conveys a clear attitude: high-end, approachable, and consistently authentic. That was the ambition from the very beginning—and we are delighted to see it recognized.”

The collaboration itself was also a decisive success factor. Helen Bardtenschlager, Head of Marketing & Communications at SCHÖNES LEBEN Group, adds:

“We have been consistently building the SCHÖNES LEBEN brand for years—and with KITICON, we succeeded in translating this ambition perfectly into the digital space: emotional, clearly structured, and 100% authentic. From structure to look & feel, the team worked with exceptional clarity, responded quickly, and translated our content in a way that resonates emotionally while providing clear orientation. This combination truly makes the difference.”
