Seminar @Sea: Royal Caribbean training on the high seas

Product training for travel agents on Oasis of the Seas cruise

(Darmstadt/Bonn, 29.05.2024) Royal Caribbean gives around 400 agents from all over Europe comprehensive insights into the brand during a Mediterranean cruise on the Oasis of the Seas. The aim of the Seminar@Sea is to provide agencies and agents with comprehensive information about the Royal Caribbean brand and also to give them an on-site experience on one of the ships to get to know the product better.

From 05.05.2024 to 09.05.2024, Oasis of the Seas sailed to the ports of Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Marseille, La Spezia and Civitavecchia. During this cruise, the German-language part of the Seminar@Sea was conducted on the ship by David Fernandez-Müller, Key Account Manager at Royal Caribbean and accompanied by Alexander Pelz, Business Development Manager - North of Executive Cruises.

The approximately 400 participants, around 40 of whom belonged to German partner agencies, had a varied program on this training trip to the Mediterranean. The following points were on the agenda of the Seminar@Sea:

  • The brand Royal Caribbean
  • Getting to know the ship classes and their special features
  • In which destinations Royal Caribbean can be found and which routes are offered
  • Range of cabins and suites
  • Food & drink (Windjammer & Main Dining and the specialty restaurants)
  • Entertainment on board
  • Children's and youth activities on board (Royal Babies & Royal Tots and Adventure Ocean)

Parts of the EMEA team as well as the captain and the hotel director were on hand to answer the participants' questions in a Q&A session in the Royal Theater and responded to the expedition participants' questions in detail. There were also two cocktail evenings, which offered all participants a good opportunity to network.

Alexander Pelz found the entire event extremely positive and rewarding: “All participants were very excited about the seminar and the Oasis of the Seas. There was a great thirst for knowledge, as none of them had ever been on board a Royal Fleet ship before. The almost 400 travel agents from the various national markets practically soaked up the information. I would like to thank the Royal Caribbean EMEA team for the great organization of the event, which was well received by all participants and will be remembered very positively.”
