Coolcations as a driver for Nordics travel
In the summer months in particular, the Nordic countries offer ideal conditions for so-called coolcations: with up to 24 hours of daylight, moderate temperatures and expansive natural landscapes, they are excellently suited to outdoor activities such as hiking and exploring nature. At the same time, cultural influences – from the Viking era to modern Nordic living – create additional appeal for varied travel programmes.
"We are seeing a clear shift in booking behaviour: travellers are specifically looking for cooler destinations as an alternative to classic summer destinations. Scandinavia is benefiting strongly from this coolcation trend – especially in combination with sustainable, flight-free travel options," explains Lisa Gerbens, Deputy Managing Director of Worldia Germany. "With our modular trips, we give travel agencies the opportunity to serve exactly this demand flexibly and individually."
Flexible planning and added value for sales
Planning and assembling such trips is additionally supported by the AI assistant JAI. Sales partners can use it to create individual Nordics routes with or without ferry connections quickly and efficiently, and tailor them to customer needs. Rental cars for trips through Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland can be conveniently booked via Worldia. In addition, key ferry connections between the Scandinavian capitals – for example Copenhagen–Oslo or Stockholm–Helsinki – can be integrated in advance. Connections from Kiel are also available. Rental cars and ferry crossings can be booked conveniently as part of the overall trip via Worldia, enabling seamlessly combinable Nordics routes.
The provider is also creating additional incentives for sales partners: from a booking value of €1,000, points worth €25 are automatically credited in the loyalty programme, the Worldia Club. The promotion is valid from now until 30 June 2026.
The Masterclass webinar on 20 May 2026 at 11:00 a.m. offers an in-depth look at routings, products and sales approaches. Interested sales partners can register here and will receive detailed information on the Nordics offerings as well as practical tips for consultation and sales.
