New rail connections: expansion in Europe and Asia
Worldia continues to expand its rail travel offering. Following the successful integration of Eurostar, the company is now further strengthening its cooperation with the French national railway SNCF. This enables partners to combine an even wider range of European rail connections in real time and package them into customized itineraries.
A key new development is the expansion of rail travel options in Asia: high-speed rail routes in Japan and South Korea can now be directly integrated into tailor-made itineraries. Travel agencies can offer combined trips between Tokyo, Osaka, and Seoul—including rail segments, hotels, and activities from a single source.
“For many travelers, rail is no longer just a means of transport—it is part of the overall experience,” says Lisa Gerbens, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Source Markets US & DACH at Worldia.
“With these expanded connections, we are creating new opportunities for comfortable, sustainable, and flexible travel experiences.”
New destinations: Japan and South Korea now bookable
With the addition of Japan and South Korea, Worldia is expanding its portfolio with two of Asia’s most in-demand destinations. Travel agencies can now offer fully customized itineraries—from classic city combinations to themed rail journeys.
“We are seeing strong and growing demand for Asia travel with cultural depth and individualized routing,” Gerbens adds.
“Thanks to our technology with real-time pricing and availability, partners can now easily plan and directly sell even complex itineraries in these destinations.”
